Born on Welling High Street in 2002 as a humble takeaway kebab shop, Gulens has grown into one of South East London's most beloved Turkish dining destinations — proudly serving homemade recipes passed down through generations of family tradition.

Step inside and you're transported. Our terrace, complete with a retractable roof for sunny days and full heating for London winters, makes guests feel as though they're dining on holiday. When you leave, you're back on Welling High Street — but the experience stays with you.

Picked up a takeaway from here as I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time. I’ve got to say the food was pretty epic. We had a selection of starters which were all amazing. I had a kofte for mains which was delicious, I can’t wait to try this place again

   Verified Tasty but poor portion size
We have eaten here for many years and the food is always very tasty and good quality. But recently we have notice the portion size is much smaller but the price is more expensive. Friends and family members have also notified the portion size decreased a lot too. Shame as the food is so nice but now is too expensive for the amount you get so I am unable to dine here as often, this applies to eating in (before lockdown)and take away.

Me and my husband visit this restaurant regularly. It only ever gets better. The food is amazing the staff are so lovely. We have tried a lot of Turkish restaurants and this by far is the best. The portion sizes are big and the prices are so reasonable. This is a family run business and they always make the effort to talk to you even remembering our names, our last meal we had before lockdown and our first after lockdown! Only Turkish takeaway we will get aswell please try you won't be disappointed
